Verification Terms

Version 1.0 · Effective Date: September 2026

These Verification Terms apply when you apply for, hold, or lose Maker verification on The Guitar Citadel (a trading name of Seth Baccus Guitars Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, Company Number: 11239391, registered address: 11a Kimberley Park Road, Falmouth, Cornwall, TR11 2DA, United Kingdom). They sit alongside the Maker Standards, Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

01 Applying

  • Verification is free. Applying does not require payment, and holding verification does not commit you to any paid plan.
  • To apply you must hold an active Maker profile, complete the required profile fields, provide a contact email, at least one professional website or social link, and at least two examples of completed work, and confirm you are authorised to represent the Maker.
  • You must confirm that the information you submit is accurate to the best of your knowledge. Submitting false or misleading information may lead to rejection, or to suspension or revocation if discovered later.

02 Your evidence

  • Work samples and any uploaded evidence are stored privately and are visible only to authorised reviewers. They are never published.
  • Reviewers assess your public presence and evidence against the Maker Standards: whether the identity is credible, whether you appear authorised to represent it, whether the completed work supports your claimed categories, and whether anything conflicts with an existing verified maker or our policies.
  • We aim to begin reviewing applications within five business days. Timescales are targets, not guarantees.

03 Decisions

  • An application may be approved, rejected, or returned to you with a request for changes. We will tell you the outcome in the app, with a reason where the application is not approved.
  • Where missing information can reasonably resolve an application, we prefer to request changes rather than reject.
  • A rejection may include a date from which you can reapply. Review history is retained internally so a new application can be assessed fairly.
  • Approval decisions are made at our reasonable discretion as a trust decision about listing on our Service. Verification is not an endorsement, and is not a guarantee of workmanship, safety, product authenticity or financial standing.

04 Suspension and revocation

  • We may suspend verification while we investigate a report or apparent breach. Suspension immediately removes the Maker from public listing, the map and verification-dependent features.
  • We may revoke verification for serious or repeated breaches of these Terms, the Maker Standards or the Terms of Service, or where verification was obtained through misrepresentation.
  • Suspension or revocation never deletes your personal account, your gear records or your Maker draft data.
  • Where we suspend or revoke, we will give you the reason we can safely share and a route to respond via support@guitarcitadel.com.

05 Your responsibilities after approval

Keep your profile accurate, honour the Maker Standards, and tell us if you stop being authorised to represent the Maker. We may periodically re-review verified makers.

06 Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version you accepted is recorded with your application; material changes will be shown for acceptance where they affect you.
